Futsal Ukraine national team in Zaporizhzhia draw with Croatian team

In preparation for the main round of selection for the 2020 FIFA World Cup, blue and yellow held the first friendly game against Croats.

The first sparring between the teams took place in the Zaporizhia Palace of Sports "Youth". It should be noted that before that Ukraine's last meeting with Croatia was selected for Euro 2018.

The hosts started the match more actively, Shoturma had good moments. However, in the second minute the Croats managed to get ahead - Jurash removed the opponent and scored from the turn Litvinenko. The game calmed down for a while, until the same Jurash inaccurately shot in the near upper corner of the goal of our team.

In the second half of the first half, the Blue and Yellows took the lead and evened the score. At first, Radevich lost a classy moment without hitting a goal from the meter, and in the 16th minute, Bilotserkivtsi beat his opponent and fired a second unit on the scoreboard.

The Ukrainians also spent the second half more actively. In the 22nd minute Shoturma almost hit the far corner with a cunning kick with his heel, there were chances for Saltanov, Radevich and Bila Tserkva. It was calmer at the gates of our national team, although Litvinenko had to save the team after a sharp pass from a rival player.

In the 29th minute Pedyash missed a great moment - the ball flew near the post. Soon the Croatian Kanyukh dangerously punched, and later Korsun hit the Croatian goalkeeper on his own after leaving. As a result, both teams failed to change the score on the scoreboard.

Tomorrow at 19.00 the Palace of Sports "Youth" will host the second friendly match between the national teams of Ukraine and Croatia.

It will be recalled that the national team of Ukraine immediately got to the main round of selection for the 2020 World Cup. The matches of this stage will take place on October 22-27 this year. Rivals of the blue-yellows will be Slovenia, Macedonia and Kosovo. According to the rules, two of the best teams of the quartet will break into the elite round.
