Oleksandr Kosenko: “We plan to have sparring with Romania and Georgia in September”

Futsal head coach of Ukraine Oleksandr Kosenko evaluated his team's game in matches with Croatia and shared his plans for the future.

The Blue and Yellows held two sparring matches against the Croats in Zaporizhia on Tuesday draw (1: 1), and on Wednesday won the victory (3: 0). The mentor of our team evaluated the performance of his team in the comment for Futsal Association of Ukraine press service.

- We analyzed the Croatian national team after the first match. I think that in the second sparring our team played better in terms of attack and defense. I want to thank the guys for giving the audience a decent game.

— What was the difference between the two meetings?

- In my opinion, in the first match there was a certain rigidity in the actions of our players. Many guys played for the national team for the first time in the presence of their spectators, which is also an important factor. I explained to them, using my own experience, that there is nothing wrong with that - you need to go out and show what they can do. I think that today our team played quite confidently.

— How will the Ukrainian national team continue to prepare for the October matches selection for the 2020 World Cup?

- In September we plan to hold sparring matches with the national teams of Romania and Georgia. Immediately on the eve of the selection we will hold a training camp. Maybe we will play another sparring during it.
