U-18: In the second friendly match with the Turkish team the Ukrainian national team lost with the minimum score

U-18 Ukrainian National Team (players not older than 2001) held another from two friendly matches against peers from Turkey.

In the first game, which took place at NTC them. V. Bannikov April 30, blue-yellow won with a score of 1: 0 thanks to the only goal of midfielder Vadym Melniychuk. In the second match, the team's manager Oleg Kuznetsov could not count on several of the 20 players called up for the training camp, so only 16 performers were included in the bid. As a result, compared to the first match, seven new players entered the field in the main lineup of Ukrainians.

The Turkish national team also rotated and, remembering the disappointing result of the first match, this time from the first minutes took the initiative and began to actively attack the goal of Alexander Garapa, who represents "Arsenal-Kyiv". Already in the 11th minute our goalkeeper saved the team after a solo pass by the left defender of the Turks Ridvan Yilmaz. The guests were disappointed several more times by inaccuracies, but in the end at the end of the first half they still achieved their goal, and Ogujan Akgun opened the scoring in the match, sending the ball into the net with a header.

In the second half, Oleg Kuznetsov made several substitutions, but the hosts could not win back, eventually losing with a minimum score — 0:1. 

Having completed the next stage of training, the next time the youth national team of Ukraine will gather together at the end of May, when they will go to the international tournament "Cup of Slovakia".

We will remind that this national team of Ukraine is preparing for the qualifying matches of the European Championship 2020 (U-19), which will pass November 13, 16 and 19 this year. Its rivals will be the national teams of Sweden, Slovenia and Estonia. The elite round of the competition, which will take place in the spring of 2020, will feature the two strongest teams from each group and the best among the teams that will take third place (according to the results of meetings with the two leaders of their group).

The winners of the seven elite round groups will make their way to the final stage, which will take place in July 2020 in Northern Ireland.
