The Israel Youth Team is the first finalist of the Valery Lobanovsky Tournament
In the semifinal match the Israelis in the penalty shootout beat their peers from Bulgaria.
The tournament of Valery Lobanovsky began with a dramatic duel at the STC. V. Bannikov. The Israeli national team looked more organized for most of the match, but a rather curious free-kick by Yurukov gave the Bulgarians an advantage. During the first half, the Israelis could score, but goalkeeper Naumov's opponents made several saves, and once again the Balkans were saved by a stable.

In the second half, the home side put even more pressure on the opponents at their goal and, after losing a lot of opportunities, still broke the course of the meeting in the 86th minute, when Arad scored 11 meters. After that, the Mediterranean had four points to finish the meeting, but they lacked precision.
As a result, the stronger had to be determined in a penalty shootout, where the key was the shot of the Bulgarian Boryukov in the crossbar. Thus, on June 5, in the final of the tournament, the Israeli national team will meet the winner of the Ukraine-Cyprus match.
