For the first time in history, the Blue and Yellows made their way to the 1/4 finals of the World Junior Championships, where they will face the Colombian national team.

The starting lineup of the Ukrainians differed from that in which they went to the matches with the USA and Qatar. In the center of the midfield appeared Czech and Drishlyuk, who apparently impressed the coaching staff in the match against Nigeria. The same was true of Sikan, who was at the forefront of the attack. And it was Daniel who was destined to open an account in the meeting. In the middle of the first half, the forward of the national team of Ukraine, skillfully maintaining the line with the last defender of the opponent, responded to the transfer of Hemp and, playing ahead, scored exactly in the far bottom corner.

Up to this point, the wards of Alexander Petrakov, who were considered to be the favorites of the match, could not create anything serious ahead, although the flank sheds and original corner draws kept the Panamanian in suspense. As for the rivals, CONCACAF's first shot on Lunin's goal struck only in the 32nd minute, already inferior to the score.

The Ukrainians increased their advantage even before the break. Another corner at the gates of Panama was effective. Bulets passed from the corner of the field, and Sikan continued to serve in the goal area, where 17-year-old goalkeeper Dimas played awkwardly, not fixing the ball in his hands and allowing Popov to score his third goal in the World Cup. But even this blue-yellow did not seem enough. In the time compensated for the first half, the Hemp-Sikan connection worked again, and the forward made a double, also bringing his performance to three goals in this championship. 3: 0.

At the beginning of the second half, Walker soaked the score, winning the fight at Beskorovainy after a flank canopy and beating Lunin at close range. This was Panama's first shot on goal. The Ukrainians did not allow the opponent to achieve more, without making such mistakes in the future. On the contrary, they again made the score big - Bulets noted from Dryshlyuk's transfer.

This success became historic for the national team of Ukraine, as they did not reach the quarter-finals at the previous three junior world championships, where the blue and yellows never made it to the quarter-finals.

Now on June 7 in Lodz, the Ukrainians are arguing for a ticket to the semifinals with the Colombian team.
