Euro 2020. Ukraine's national team effectively defeated Serbia and continues to lead the selection team!

The result of the match in Lviv was perhaps one of the most significant victories in the history of Ukraine. The Blue and Yellows demonstrated a well-established team game and gained an important result, confidently beating a strong opponent who had not lost eight fights before.

From the first minutes, the teams began to fight for the initiative, which resulted in both teams resorting to high pressure. But the debut still remained behind the Ukrainians. The hosts created sharpness ahead of the clear combination action, which ended with strikes Zinchenko (twice) and Yaremchuk, but they were all blocked. The Serbs responded with a dangerous attempt by Prijevic, who failed to hit the goal.

Towards the middle of the half, the visitors established control of the ball, but the clear actions of the blue and yellows in defense did not allow potentially dangerous situations at the goal of Pyatov to become really fatal. But the hosts, showing a clear structure of the game in attack, built their offensive combinations and regularly approached the possessions of Dmitrovich - and eventually achieved their goal. Malinowski passed to Karavaev, the defender went forward with the ball and shot into the center of the penalty area, where Tsygankov ran. Victor's blow from below was irresistible. 1: 0. Less than two minutes later, Yaremchuk took the ball in the center of the field from Kolarov and made an excellent pass to Tsygankov, who hit the far top corner from outside the penalty area. 2: 0. Great actions of Dynamo, who perfectly replaced Marlos in the starting lineup, who did not have time to gain the necessary condition.

The successes of Andriy Shevchenko's team continued to attack and by the end of the first half created a number of chances, but they were no longer lucky.

The beginning of the second half gave the hosts even more optimism. Again, the middle line of the blue-yellows worked perfectly: Malinowski passed with the ball and gave it to Konoplyanka, and Yevhen struck his signature shot from outside the penalty area into the far corner, making the score 3: 0. But even this did not seem enough to Ukrainian collections. The game was given to them, the opponent looked confused, so they continued to weave their combinations. And, as a result, Yaremchuk scored his first goal for the national team, accurately hitting the touch after a flank shot by Karavaev. And then Konoplyanka also scored his second goal, which was sent away by Malinovsky. After the score became 5: 0, the stadium gave a long, well-deserved applause to the head coach of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko.
