Kharkiv will host the group stage of the Women's Champions League for the second year in a row

Ukraine will again host UEFA Champions League football matches between women's teams. For the second time in a row in Kharkov will pass group stage European Tournament matches.

Already on June 21 in Nyon there will be a draw in which champion of Ukraine, Kharkiv "Zhytlobud-1", learns its rivals. 

Overall in the Women's Champions League-2019/2020 will participate record number of teams - 62, representing 50 national associations: 

  • 22 teams received a direct ticket to the 1/16 finals. These are representatives of ten associations with the highest rating (two clubs each), as well as champions of countries that rank 11th to 12th in the ranking.
  • The remaining 10 participants of the 1/16 finals will be determined in the qualifying round (group stage), which will take place from 7th to 13th August 2019 in the fields of 10 clubs. 40 teams will be broken into fours, and the winners of the playoffs will receive the winners of the groups.
  • Ten clubs were named in advance as hosts of the mini-tournaments: Twente (Netherlands), Gintra Universitas (Lithuania), Sarajevo 2000 (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Anderlecht (Belgium), Slovan (Czech Republic), Zhitlobud-1 (Ukraine), Breznitsa (Montenegro), Flora (Estonia), RFSH (Latvia), Pomurje (Slovenia).
  • Braga (Portugal), Split (Croatia), Besiktas (Turkey), Flora (Estonia), Nike (Georgia) and Alashkert (Armenia) will make their debut in the qualifying round.
  • The final of the Women's Champions League will take place on May 24, 2020 at the Viola Park Stadium in Vienna.
