Georgi Tsitaishvili: "Probably, in a couple of years we will realize what we have done"

Midfielder of the youth U-20 national team of Ukraine Georgy Tsitaishvili spoke about his goal in the final of the World Cup and emotions after the team returned home.

- George, where did you get your strength at the end of the final match against South Korea, when you scored the third goal in its goal?

- I had many moments before that, when I could not score from three or four meters. And here he scored in the final. There are a lot of emotions, words cannot convey them. The main thing is that they won. I am glad that we brought the cup to Ukraine. It is a great honor for me to glorify Ukraine.

- Are you aware of your status as world champions?

- Now we do not understand it yet. Probably, we will understand in a couple of years, we will realize what we did.

- What was the task of the national team of Ukraine before the tournament?

- To leave the group, and then we wanted to go through each subsequent stage.

- How did you survive the last minutes of the match with Italy?

- I was sitting on the podium and saw it all from the side. It's easier to be on the field. It was hard for me too. He grabbed his head and thought that everything was gone. The boys had almost no strength left. I started shouting for the judge to look at the VAR. Thank God he canceled that goal.

- When did you realize that the victory over South Korea will be for Ukraine?

- Probably after my goal. Before that there was a stubborn struggle.

- Were there enough forces for the whole tournament?

- Thanks to our masseurs, they worked at the highest level, restored us very well. We also treated the restoration professionally.

- Will you remain a Dynamo player or do you want to try your hand at another club?

- All thoughts are about Dynamo. But first there will be a vacation, and then a meeting. I want to make my way to the main team.
