First League. Offseason News: Markevich to Head Agribusiness, and Kobin to Minay

The overwhelming majority of first-team teams have just begun preparations for the new season, but have done without a few high-profile coaching appointments.

After the resignation of Oleksandr Goryainov, Kharkiv's Metalist 1925 was headed by his assistant Andriy Demchenko. Earlier he had to stand at the helm of Veres and FC Lviv. Demchenko is tasked with restoring Kharkiv's place in the elite, although it is obvious that it is impossible to do without a serious strengthening of the team. Moreover, Metalist 1925 goalkeeper Danylo Kanevtsev, midfielders Oleh Sinitsa, Dmytro Grankin, Yegor Chegurko and forward Andriy Fayuk have already left Metalist XNUMX.

And "Minay" was quite unexpectedly led by Vasyl Kobin - a former player of the national team of Ukraine, who replaced Kirill Kurenko, who led the Transcarpathians to the first league. However, for the time being Kobin will be acting head coach, because he does not yet have the necessary license. By the way, under his leadership, Minai has already held two sparring matches - and, interestingly, both abroad. Initially, the Transcarpathians lost to the Slovak "Partizan" from Bardejov - 1: 2, and on the evening of June 26 they drew with the Hungarian "Debrecen" - 2: 2.

But the new head of "Agribusiness" Ostap Markevich, the son of a famous football specialist, with a coaching license is fine. Before moving to Volochysk, he worked with the youth teams of the Spanish Villarreal. The club management has aimed Ostap Markevich to get a place in the top six, and he does not hide that he will have to invite legionnaires.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper Bohdan Shust left Vorskla as a free agent and became the playing coach of Ingulets, who is going to get a ticket to the Premier League in the new season.

The same ambitious plans are in Volyn, which is making efforts to have such well-known performers as Taras Mykhalyk from Lokomotiv Moscow and Artem Fedetsky from Lviv's Karpaty in the near future. Head coach Andriy Tlumak will not be able to count on goalkeeper Bohdan Kohut, defender Serhiy Petko, midfielder Artur Zapadnya and forwards Igor Karpenko and Dmytro Kozban. Luhansk will hold their first sparring on July 1 with Veres.
