DUFLOW. U-15 Championship: results of the 2018-2019 season

Incredible in their tension and plot, the final match ended on June 30 at the Kiev NTC. V. Bannikov Season-2018/2019 U-15 Youth Championship of Ukraine.

Shakhtar players born in 2004 under the leadership of coaches Hennadiy Zubov and Oleksandr Alimov won the victory, winning the decisive match in Karpaty - 3: 2.

Moreover, Lviv opened the scoring in the match, then missed twice, and a few minutes before the end of regular time played. But the wards of Vitaliy Ponomarev and Roman Marich failed to hold a draw. And the hope to repeat the victory of the "Carpathians" U-14 model 2011, when the team, which played Marian Shved, Vasily Kravets, Nazar Verbny and Andrew Busko, won the championship, melted.

The triumph of this Shakhtar team is not accidental. A year ago, performing in the U-14 category, the miners born in 2004 also won the Ukrainian championship. Then midfielder Ivan Losenko was recognized as the best football player of the final tournament, individual awards were also given to goalkeeper Denis Barchenko and defender Andriy Buleza.

This season, Zubov's and Alimov's wards have not won just two of their 25 matches on their way to the championship. One - in the regular season (April defeat by "Dynamo" - 0: 1), the second - in the semifinals (a draw with "Dynamo" - 1: 1). In total, Shakhtar scored 84 goals in the championship, taking into account the joint and final games, conceding only nine.

Therefore, it is not surprising that goalkeeper Barchenko was again recognized as the best. This time Losenko received the award as the best midfielder, and the best player was Oleg Pushkarev - the team's right striker, Shakhtar's top scorer this season (14 goals). And Buleza became a two-time champion of Ukraine in 2019, because a little earlier at the same STC. V. Bannikov played for Shakhtar U-16 (born in 2003).

Representatives of Karpaty (Bohdan Slyubyk - the best defender) and Dynamo (Ihor Horbach - the best striker, and in 2018 he was also recognized as the best in this role) received two more individual awards.

Lviv also spent this season confidently: one defeat at the regular championship stage, the second - in the group of the final tournament, the third - in the final. Although on the eve of the third round in the group of the final tournament there was a situation that the fate of "Dynamo" depended on the result of the match "Karpaty" - "Chornomorets" (coaches - Gennady Shchekotylin and Anton Khromykh), because Kyiv beat Lviv (2: 1) , but lost to Odessa (0: 1).

As a result, three teams scored six points each, and if Karpaty beat Chornomorets 3: 2 (4: 3, 5: 4, etc.), Dynamo would be third in personal meetings. But with a score of 2: 1 in favor of "Carpathians" to the semifinals did not get the people of Odessa, who won bronze medals a year ago. "Chernomorets" scored first in that match, but then missed two goals from the penalty spot and lost - 1: 2.

Footballers of Dynamo took a step back compared to last season (second place) - due to a loss to Odessa, which sent them to the semifinals to meet Shakhtar. In general, Kyiv under coaches Andriy Fartushnyak and Viktor Moroz lost only two matches per season. But the defeat of the Pitmen in the regular season did not have much effect, while one failure in the final tournament turned everything upside down. In the match for third place, Dynamo looked stronger than Skala (coaches - Ivan Bubis and Yevhen Zaichenko), but the white and blues managed to prove their advantage only after two corners. In turn, Morshyn took a step forward: in 2018 the team was fifth in Ukraine, now - fourth.

Interestingly, all eight finalists of the 2018/2019 season in the U-15 category played a year ago in the U-14 final tournament. These are probably the best teams in Ukraine in the 2004 generation. We will remind that the youth national team of Ukraine of this age group is headed by Sergey Nagornyak, and it is assisted by another ex-footballer of national team of Ukraine Oleg Naduda. They were also one of the most attentive spectators at the matches that were held (except for two decisive ones) in Shchastly.
