DUFLOW. U-17 Championship: results of the 2018-2019 season
The matches of the final tournament of the Ukrainian U-23 championship of the 30/17 season took place on June 2018-2019 in Zakarpattia, Polyana and Svalyava. Shakhtar, led by the coaching tandem of Oleksandr Sytnyk and Oleksandr Maksymov, became the champion among footballers born in 2002, as they did three years ago in the U-14 category.
In the previous two seasons, Dynamo players won the championship (in 2017, which is interesting, under the leadership of Oleksandr Sytnyk and Volodymyr Samborsky). But this time Kyiv failed in the semifinals - in a meeting with compatriots from "Change-Obolon".
Igor Nikolaev, of course, also has a good team - one of four who participated in all four final tournaments starting with U-14, and one of the five who won medals at the Ukrainian championship in this generation. But this time "Zmina-Obolon" surpassed itself. The last time the representatives of this club played in the final of the youth championship of Ukraine was in ... 2002. Therefore, when the present wards of Nikolaev were born.

At that time, a whole galaxy of future football players of the national team played for Zmina-Obolon - Oleksandr Rybka, Oleksandr Yakovenko, Denys Oliynyk, Denys Dedechko, plus Oleksiy Chichikov, around whom a real international transfer scandal broke out a little later. And a great team won the Ukrainian U-15 championship. And for the first time in 17 years, "Zmina-Obolon" reached the final.
Despite the fact that, despite all the victories of the Obolon players born in 2002, Dynamo's team was even more powerful. She won the championship twice in a row (U-15, U-16), and in the 2018/2019 season she did not lose at all. Moreover, the wards of coaches Serhiy Bezhenar and Artem Yashkin last lost on September 23, 2017 (to Shakhtar with a score of 0: 1). After that there was a winless series lasting almost two seasons.
Maybe it was a bad joke with the white and blues. Seven of them have already played not even for Dynamo U-19, but for Dynamo U-21, and Vladyslav Vanat and Ilya Zabarny also scored in the youth championship of Ukraine. In addition to Vanat and Zabarny, Volodymyr Brazhko, Yevhen Ryazantsev, Danil Skorko, Kostiantyn Vivcharenko and Viktor Bliznichenko made their debuts in the U-21 Ukrainian championship.

One way or another, footballers born in 2002 from "Zmina-Obolon" managed to take revenge on their peers from "Dynamo" for defeats in the final tournaments of 2016 and 2017. And the Dynamo players of this generation, one of the strongest in the club academy, were forced to win only bronze medals. They defeated "Karpaty" Lubomyr Vovchuk and Vasyl Leskiv, and for Lviv even the fourth place was the best for four seasons of performances in the Ukrainian DUFL championship.
But Shakhtar players born in 2002 have never fallen below the second step since 2016. And the 2018/2019 season for Sytnyk and Maksymov turned out to be surprisingly powerful. Taking into account the final match, Shakhtar U-17 scored 106 (!) Goals: 76 in the regular season, 11 in the butt matches, and 19 in the final tournament.
The Pitmen suffered the only defeat of the season from Dynamo, but it was still in the regular season, when any mistake can still be corrected.
Shakhtar midfielder Georgy Sudakov was named the best player of the final tournament. The best goalkeeper is Nikita Turbayevsky (Shakhtar), the best defender is Konstantin Vivcharenko (Dynamo), the best midfielder is Vladislav Kobylyansky (Shakhtar), and the best striker is Yaroslav Karabin (Karpaty). In 2017, Vivcharenko was named the best player of the U-15 final tournament, in 2016 he was named the best U-14 defender, and Turbayevsky was named the best U-14 goalkeeper.
