Ukrainian national team got the right to play at the World Beach Games!

The Ukrainian national team received a pass for the final tournament of the World Beach Games to be held in Qatar. 

Vice President of the Beach Soccer Association of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyshchenko and head coach of the national team Yevhen Varenytsia confirmed the information that our team has received the right to perform at the World Beach Games, which will be held on October 12-16 this year in Qatar. 

It will be recalled that in Spain at the European qualifying tournament for the World Games are blue and yellow took fifth place and had to play a match for a pass to the final with the third CONMEBOL team.

However, over the past two months, significant changes have taken place regarding the organization of the tournament. Most importantly, the Games themselves were moved from US San Diego to Qatar for financial reasons. Thus, Qatar, as the host of the competition, got the right to play in the finals, but refused it due to the actual absence of the team.

As a result, there was an additional pass to the final part of the tournament. Therefore, the organizers canceled the match between UEFA and CONMEBOL, and the national team of Ukraine automatically qualified for the World Beach Games. The third team of the South American selection will also go there. 

Thus, today 11 participants of the men's final tournament of the World Beach Games have been determined. These are the national teams of Spain, Italy, Russia, Switzerland and Ukraine - from Europe, Iran, Japan and the UAE - from Asia, Senegal and Morocco - from Africa, the Solomon Islands - from Oceania. Five more participants in Qatar will be determined by the results of qualifying tournaments in South America and the CONCACAF zone.
