Roman Yaremchuk: "I want to win a big tournament - the Champions League or the World Cup"

The striker of the Belgian "Ghent" and the national team of Ukraine Roman Yaremchuk in an interview Youtube-channel The Ukrainian Football Association answered the fans' questions, told who was the biggest joke in the national team and why it was more interesting to play in the national team than in the club.

- Roman, which goal, not even your own, did you remember the most in your life?

- This is Zinedine Zidane's ball in the Champions League final against German Bayer Leverkusen.

- Who are your friends in the national team? Who do you communicate with most often?

- Of course, I communicate the most with my teammates - Bezus, Plastun. My friend is also Nikita Burda, we have known him for a long time.

- Who has the best sense of humor in the national team?

- Zinchenko often tries to be witty, he, however, does not do very well, but nothing (laughs). Vanya Petryak is also cheerful, Andriy Yarmolenko can joke.

- And you?

- I - no, only in the company.

- What music do you listen to before the games?

- There is no special direction or performer. I can listen to different music.

- Which European Championship do you like the most?

- I like the Italian Serie A the most.

- And the club in Italy?

- This is "Napoli".

- Which team is most in your heart?

- Dynamo Kyiv.

- Where do you like to play more - in the center of the attack or on the flank?

- In the center.

- What is your attitude to naturalization?

- I don't mind. I have an adequate attitude to this. In the national team there are good footballers, there is no negativity towards such guys.

- Do you remember how you became a football player?

- At the age of six, my father brought me to the section, and that's where it all started. At the age of ten I already realized that I wanted to be a football player.

- Did you happen to want to "tie" with football?

- There were such emotions in Dynamo Kyiv after unsuccessful games. But then I realized that this can not be done. We need to be smarter.

- Do you know anyone from the Portuguese championship?

- I follow "Porto", "Benfica", "Sporting". Casillas now plays for Porto and is a good young forward at Benfica.

- What do you need to do to become a footballer?

- First of all, you need to love football, work hard on yourself, live a dream, achieve your goal.  

- What do you like about the Belgian championship, and what is the weather like in Belgium?

- Great championship, there are young players, a lot of fans go to the games. But the weather is bad, rainy. It's good for the game, not so good for life. When it is sunny in Ukraine, a good mood immediately appears. I love the sun.

- Is Yarmolenko a top player?

- Undoubtedly, even more than the top.

- Who in the national team behaves the simplest and without "show-offs"?

- We don't have stars with "show-offs". Zinchenko is the champion of England, but you can talk to him on any topic. The team has a simple good team.

- Who is better - Zinchenko or Yarmolenko?

- I will choose Yarmolenko, because Zinchenko is still a young player, and he still has time to show himself in the future. Andriy has already done a lot for both the national team and Dynamo Kyiv.

- Do you still want to play in Ukrainian clubs?

- I was in two teams. There are no such plans yet.

- What is the main goal of the national team of Ukraine?

- Go to the European Championship.

- What is the greatest speed you developed on the field?

- I don't know now, but about a year ago I was told that it was about 35 kilometers per hour.

- Who was the best partner among the players you played with?

- The name of Andriy Yarmolenko.

- What is your dream?

- My dream is to win a big tournament - the Champions League or the World Cup.

- Which of these two tournaments is a priority?

- World Cup.

- Where is more interesting to play - in the national team or in the club?

- In the national team. More qualified football players are gathered here, so it is more interesting to play.

- What is the first match you watched and remembered the most?

- Apparently, this is the Champions League final between AC Milan and Liverpool.

- What is your favorite city?

- Kyiv.

- "Real" or "Barcelona"?

- Barça and, of course, Messi.
