Europa League. Potential rivals of Ukrainian clubs in the playoffs have been identified

Today after Champions League playoff draw in Nyon, at the UEFA headquarters, a pair of similar stages of the Europa League was formed.

According to the results of last season, the fourth and fifth UPL teams, Mariupol and Zorya, had a seedless status during the draw. In the playoffs, the Azov team will potentially play with the winner of the pair "Antwerp" (Belgium) - "Victoria" (Czech Republic), and Luhansk - with the best in the duel "Lucerne" (Switzerland) - "Espanyol" (Spain). At the same time, Mariupol will play at home on August 22, and Zorya will play away. The return matches will take place on August 29.

However, in order to get to the playoffs Ukrainian clubs must first be overcome the third qualifying stage. At this stage, Mariupol will meet the Dutch AZ, and Zorya will meet the Bulgarian CSKA. Oleksandr Babych's wards will play their first match on August 8 at home, and Viktor Skrypnyk's team will play away in Sofia. The return matches will take place on August 15. 

The bronze medalist of the Ukrainian championship, "Alexandria", does not take part in the selection and is already waiting for the draw of the group stage of the Europa League, which will take place on August 30.
