On August 21, the draw of the second preliminary stage of the Ukrainian Cup took place. Podillya footballers managed to overcome the starting bar'yer, taking over the ambitious "Polissya" and confirming the regularity of his successful performance in the current championship of the second league.

- In the off-season we managed to keep all the leading performers, in addition, by inviting a few qualified newcomers, we got rid of problematic positions, - said the head of "Podillya" Vitaliy Kostyshyn to the official website of the UAF, commenting the results of the draw. - It was encouraging that the FC management took care of improving the financial conditions. As for our match with Polissya, I think we played to win, because we owned the ball more often, created more dangerous moments and in the first half we could remove the question of the winner from the agenda.

It is nice that with each match more and more fans gather at the Podillya Stadium. I hope that in the next cup match with Volyn we will be supported by about five thousand fans. In my opinion, "Podillya" was lucky with the draw. We play at home, the opponent is serious, ready to win a ticket to the elite division… It is in such confrontations that you get information about what your wards are really worth. But we also have ambitious plans, I confess, I really want Podillya to meet Koval's Kolos, which is headed by my older brother, at the cup distance.
