Second League. Spurt of Ternopil Niva and the first victory of the Alliance
The program of the 5th round of the Ukrainian championship among the teams of the second league was opened by yesterday's match in Sumy, where "Alliance" hosted "Tavria Simferopol" (group "B").
The fate of the match was practically decided before the break, when the home players Yaroslav Sydorenko and Ruslan Pisny twice forced the guests to start from the center of the field. In the second half, the events on the field unfolded according to a similar scenario, and the players of the "Alliance" without much effort brought the case to defeat.
"This week was our second official match," said Alliance leader Yuri Yaroshenko after the final whistle. - Of course, the cup victory over Uzhhorod gave us confidence. As for the reported confrontation, for 70 minutes my wards clearly performed the installation, and there could be no claims against them. Then there was a failure in the command mechanism, the coherence in action disappeared, and it's good that we didn't miss it. Still, no matter what, I congratulate our fans on the Alliance's first victory in the championship. "
Today in group "B" the focus was on the match in Kherson, where "Crystal", which has not missed this season, hosted the ambitious team "Miner", which has slowed down a bit lately. Both opponents did not sit in defense, stubbornly looking for the shortest way to someone else's goal, and in the end the hosts managed to tilt the scales to their side only in overtime.
We should pay tribute to Energia, which recovered quickly after the cup defeat by Bukovyna and, confidently beating Chornomorets-2, leads the standings.
As for group "A", the central match should be the match in Kalush, where the "citizens" clarified relations with Ternopil's "Niva", which has not lost points this season. Interest in the match was fueled by the fact that the head coach of the guests Vasyl Malik used to head Kalush. Niva footballers remained true to themselves, acting (especially after the break) in the combination style, at the end of the game they broke and recorded their fourth victory in a row.
Ternopil could catch up with Polissya, but Anatoliy Bezsmertny's wards failed to beat Dinaz.
