Favbet League. Shakhtar had an easy deal with Mariupol, Zorya caught up with Desna in the table
Two Sunday matches continued the program of the 5th round of the Favbet League, which will be closed tomorrow by the match between Dnipro-1 and Lviv.
Shakhtar won another victory, the seventh in a row, taking into account the previous championship. In the meeting with "Mariupol" in the 12th minute, the Pitmen won 3-0, so there was no doubt about the outcome of the match. It is worth noting the return of Viktor Kovalenko to the field. The candidate for the national team of Ukraine, who missed the start of the season due to injury, played a full match for Donetsk today.
Shakhtar has extended its unbeaten streak in the Ukrainian championship to 34 matches: the last time the Pitmen left the field was defeated more than a year ago, on August 3, 2018, after a game against Dynamo Kyiv.
Shakhtar players took part in the match, called by Andriy Shevchenko for the September training camp of the national team of Ukraine: Pyatov, Matvienko (replaced in the 46th minute), Stepanenko (replaced in the 46th minute), Marlos (goal pass, replaced in 65th minute), Moraes (goal, assist).
As for the Lviv match, Zorya managed to replenish the treasury with points in the domestic championship between two matches with Espanyol in the Europa League. Given the busy schedule at the beginning of the season, it is not surprising that the coaching staff of Luhansk in the game with the "Carpathians" resorted to large-scale rotation. In comparison with match in Barcelona, which took place three days earlier, Tymchyk, Abu Hanna, Lednev, Lunyov, Kabayev and Gromov were absent from the starting lineup.
The fate of the meeting was decided by the only goal that the guests scored in the second half. Yurchenko took a corner, and Budkivsky hit the crossbar with his head. Zorya caught up with Desna in the second table and is second only to Chernihiv in terms of additional indicators.
