Tournament of Viktor Bannikov. The Ukrainian national team started with a victory over the Latvian team

At this year's Victor Bannikov Tournament, Alexander Petrakov's wards started with a victory over the Latvian national team.

The 16th Victor Bannikov Tournament started today at the stadiums of Kyiv, Bucha, Boryspil and Obukhiv. The U-17 youth national teams (players not older than 2003) take part in it. Eight teams are competing for the main prize: Ukraine, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Israel, Turkey, Lithuania, Belarus and Slovakia.

The Blue and Yellows met the Latvian team in their first match at the tournament in Bucha at the Jubilee Stadium. In the first half, the hosts had a significant advantage, but were able to excel only once. Latvian goalkeeper Klava lost the ball near his own goal, which was used by Hlan. The Ukrainian hit the post with the first blow, but he managed to finish it off. 1: 0.

The blue and yellows started the second half even more actively. In the first five minutes after the break, Kononov, Bomashchuk and Khlan had the opportunity to increase the advantage of our team. And in four minutes Voloshin has already made a powerful shot near the rack.

But here, as is the case in football, the ball flew into the gate of the wards of Alexander Petrakov. In the 60th minute Roman knocked in Puzyrevskis's own free kick and the referee pointed the point. Lime was a hit. 1: 1. 

However, the gaming advantage of our team still came to light. In the 66th minute, Ursulov made a pass to the penalty area, and there was the best deal with the situation Kononov. 2: 1.

And in the last seconds of the match, the Latvians were left with ten: the captain of our opponent, Vilnis, fouled in order not to allow Mykytyshyn to go out alone with the goalkeeper. However, the spectators did not see more goals.

As a result, Ukraine began the 16th Victor Bannikov Tournament of Victory.
