Beach Soccer Team wins rivals at Qatar World Beach Games

As a result of the draw in Doha, Yevgeny Varenytsia's wives learned the names of their opponents in the World Beach Games group round.

The draw ceremony of the first in the history of the World Beach Games, which will take place in this country from October 12 to 16, took place in the capital of Qatar today. Medals in 15 sports will be drawn on them. 

The national beach soccer team of Ukraine received the right to perform at the Games based on the results of the European qualification in Salou, Spain. Our team took the fifth place in the qualifying tournament, however, due to the transfer of the competition from the USA to Qatar, it became passable without additional butt matches. 

During the draw, the blue-and-yellows were in basket 4 and got into group C. The rivals of the Ukrainians were the national teams of Iran, Paraguay and Senegal. 

The composition of all groups

Group A: Brazil, Switzerland, UAE, Morocco.

Group B: Italy, Spain, Mexico, Solomon Islands.

Group C: Iran, Paraguay, Senegal, Ukraine. 

Group D: Russia, Japan, Uruguay, El Salvador.

Only the winners of each of the four groups will enter the playoffs. The best team of our quartet in the semifinals will play with the winner of Group D. Note that the beach soccer tournament will start on October 11, the day before the official opening ceremony of the Games.
