Victor Bannikov tournament: Ukrainian youth team defeats Israel squad and plays in finals

The wards of Alexander Petrakov beat Israeli peers in the decisive duel of their group and took first place in their quartet.

In the Victor Bannikov Tournament, the first place in Group A in the final group round match was played between the national teams of Ukraine and Israel. Moreover, the blue and yellows were only a victory, as for the same number of points the wards of Alexander Petrakov conceded to the opponent by the difference of goals scored and missed.

The team spent the first minutes of the match carefully trying not to risk it, so strikes were rarely done. Started teams in the middle of the half. At first, Yafrah checked Puzankov's vigilance with a middle-range shot. In the next attack, the Ukrainians were obliged to score, but after the transfer of Khromey, Popov did not use a clean exit on his own, punching past the target.

After that, the game again moved to the middle of the field, where there were enough fights and sticks, to which the referee repeatedly responded with yellow cards. They scored blue and yellow after the standard. In the 35th minute, Ursulov put in a free kick, the Israelis knocked the ball out, but the first on the selection was Voloshin, who in a strong blow sent the ball into the corner of the goal Nira. 1: 0.

And under the curtain of the first half, the Israelis remained in the minority. Alturi received a warning for preventing the Ukrainian goalkeeper from bringing the ball into play. It was his second yellow card…

Having more than one footballer, Alexander Petrakov's wards took the lead from the first minutes of the second half, practically preventing the Israelis from entering their half of the field. Yatsik could score, but he shot just above the goal, then there was a chance for Voloshin, but the striker was unable to beat the goalkeeper away in close combat. In the 57th minute Voloshin was not lucky again to punch Nir, although the chance was iron.

At the end of the fight the Israelis tried to save the match. Many more free zones appeared in the protection of the guests than the blue-yellow ones used. After 70 minutes, a counterattack by Kononov resulted in a free kick. 2: 0.

As a result, the match ended, which allowed the Ukrainian youth team to win their group and get the right to meet the Turkish team tomorrow in the finals.
