Olga Ovdiychuk: “I am sure that tomorrow our player will show character first of all against one of the strongest teams in the world”

Together with Natalia Zinchenko at a press conference the day before selection match for Euro-2021 among women Olga Ovdiychuk, a player of Atletico Madrid and the national team of Ukraine, took part against the German team.

- How is your mood after the trip from Spain to Ukraine? How do you feel before the match?

- The mood is great, it is very nice to come home from another country. The girls and I are always happy to see each other, no matter where they perform. We maintain a good atmosphere and prepare for the game.

- What are your impressions of your stay in Spain, what is your attitude to women's football?

- I was received very warmly, it was immediately obvious that people are interested in women's football. They support their teams, go to games ... The atmosphere in the stadiums is great, it plays a big role.

- Do the girls have any fears before meeting one of the strongest national teams in the world?

- We understand who we have to play with. Everyone knows that Germany is a very titled team. The Germans are experienced players, they have a lot of responsible fights behind them. But you should not be afraid of any opponent. We have good footballers who have played against such teams more than once.

I am sure that tomorrow each of our players, regardless of whether he will be in the starting lineup or as a substitute, will show his character first of all. And there the game will show.
