Roman Yaremchuk: "We will only be satisfied with the maximum result in Lithuania"

Roman Yaremchuk assured that the national team of Ukraine will set up for the next Euro-2020 qualification match with Lithuania will be the same as for the match against Portugal.

The striker of the Belgian "Ghent" and the national team of Ukraine Roman Yaremchuk spoke about the preparation of the blue and yellows for the upcoming match of the qualifying tournament for Euro 2020.

- Roman, the press wrote that you have health problems…

- The press writes a lot. I'm ok. Yes, there was a small injury, but now it's time to heal the leg. I went through the procedures, so I am preparing for the matches for the national team of Ukraine in a good mood.

- You scored for the blue-and-yellows in the last two matches. Ready to continue?

- This is my job. If the coach entrusts me with a place on the field, I will try to do my best to help the team win.

- What do you know about the Lithuanian national team?

- Lithuanians have good players. I know they are experimenting with tactics. They played five defenders, then four. In addition, we will have a match on synthetics, so there will definitely be no easy walk in Vilnius.

- When was the last time you played on an artificial turf?

- In the Belgian championship three months ago.

- There can probably be no question of a draw in Vilnius?

- A draw in Lithuania will not suit us - only a victory. The national team of Ukraine sets itself the task of winning every match, even if it is a match with Serbia or Portugal. Therefore, the same setting will be for Lithuania.

- How did Ghent react when they learned that you would have to play against Alexandria in the Europa League?

- Some laughed, said they did not know such a team. But I assured them that there will be no easy games with "Alexandria", difficult matches are waiting for us. I think that the Alexandrians will try to prove themselves and show good football. I respect this team because I played in it. But there are no friends on the football field, so each team will play to win, and "Gent" will also want to take six points in two matches with the Ukrainians.

- Don't you want to play in Italy, like Malinowski?

- Of course, this is a high level. But I have a contract with Ghent, so it's hard to talk about it now. Maybe the time will come and I will be able to move to an Italian club, but it takes a lot of work.
