U-19: Ukraine youth team draw in friendly match with Romanian team

During the match, Oleg Kuznetsov's wards lost twice, but, having shown character, managed to win back.

Today the U-19 youth team of Ukraine (players not older than 2001) held the first of two scheduled friendly matches against peers from Romania in Bucharest.

At the beginning of the match the initiative was taken by the guests, who quickly opened the scoring, realizing a penalty in the 4th minute. But soon the Ukrainians took control of the game and in the 22nd minute embodied their advantage in the goal. Voloshin scored a spectacular shot. However, at the break the team went for the goal advantage of the Romanians, who in the 41st minute took advantage of the confusion in the defense of the blue and yellows. 1: 2.

Oleg Kuznetsov's team started the second half more actively, and in the 52nd minute Nadolsky restored the balance in the score. The game continued to take place mainly in the middle of the field. In the 87th minute, due to the withdrawal, the opponent remained in the minority, but did not press the Romanians. As a result, a draw - 2: 2.

We will remind that it is one of stages of preparation of blue-yellows for qualification of Euro-2020 (U-19), matches of which Oleg Kuznetsov's team holds November 13, 16, and 19. The rivals of the Ukrainians in the fight for the tickets to the elite round of competitions will be national teams of Sweden, Slovenia and Estonia.
