Beach soccer team concedes in the third match of the 2019 Euroleague Super Final

In their last match of the group stage of the Euroleague Superfinal 2019, Yevhen Varenytsia's wards lost to the Turkish national team in a penalty shootout.

The Ukrainian beach soccer team finished the group stage of this year's Euroleague Superfinal in the Portuguese town of Figueira da Foz in fourth place in Quartet 2. After defeats by Italy (4:5) and Portugal (1:3) Ukrainians lost in the third match - in a penalty shootout for the Turkish national team. 

Ukraine started this match very unsuccessfully. Already in the 5th minute, the blue and yellows lost 0: 3. After Dmytro Voitenko's goal, the mood of Yevhen Varenytsia's wards improved a bit, but at the beginning of the second period our rivals again increased the gap to three goals.

Only here our guys took work seriously. By the end of the second 12-minute Pachev, Voitenko and Shcherytsia equalized the score - 4: 4. In the final period, the teams exchanged goals, and our team had to play again. Only at the last minute Oleg Zborovsky turned the game into overtime. In it, the teams also scored on the ball, and the fate of the match was decided in a penalty shootout. Unfortunately, it was better performed by Turkish players - 3: 1.

In another match of our group, Portugal beat Italy with a score of 8: 6 and won the Quartet 2.

Final standings

Portugal and Russia will meet in the decider of the 2019 Euroleague Super Final. Third place is played by Spain and Italy. The Ukrainian national team will compete for 7th place with the Swiss team. The meeting starts at 14.45.
