The year 2019 was a success in the history of student football of Ukraine on the international scene.

On September 17, the ceremony of awarding the best student teams based on the results of the season "Ukraine students football awards-2019" took place. The holiday took place within the walls of the Ukrainian Football Association. Students, heads of universities, sports figures of the country, representatives of public authorities and mass media visited the solemn holiday.

President of the Ukrainian Football Association, member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko, first vice-president of the UAF Vadym Kostyuchenko, first vice-president of the UAF Oleh Protasov, vice-president of the UAF Andriy Matsola, deputy minister of education and science of Ukraine Roman took part in awarding the best teams and laureates of the season Hreba, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of BROKBUSINESS Insurance Company Andriy Goreltsev, President of the All-Ukrainian Football Association of Students, People's Deputy of Ukraine Ivan Krulko, Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Sports of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Kozhemyakin, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Oleksandr Yarema of Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Vadym Stetsenko.

In his welcoming speech, Andriy Pavelko noted that student sports in Ukraine are constantly developing, and young people should have the right to self-realization both in science and in sports. "Our student football began to receive tangible achievements when the association was headed by Ivan Krulko. We have a championship, strong national teams, and in the future we will set the highest goals. We expect that it is thanks to the Student Football Association, which promotes grassroots football, that we will continue this movement. It is gratifying that, for the first time, our women's teams are also succeeding in the international arena. The work is carried out at the highest level, including through the Ministry of Education and Science, the Committee on Youth and Sports of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. I congratulate all the winners, and we will continue to maintain and develop these areas for future victories, "the UAF head assured.

In 2019, Ukrainian student teams can really be proud of. Four football and futsal colleges of higher education establishments have won awards at the European Football and Futsal Championships among students in Spanish Madrid and Portugal. The team of the Ternopil National Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Hnatyuk won the silver of the European Championship, and the women's team of the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture won bronze at the European Football Championship among students.

In turn, the team of the VN Kharkiv National University Karazina finished second at the Futsal European Student Championships, and the women's team of the National Pedagogical University named after M.P. Drahomanov won bronze at the same Euro. At the Universidad Universidad Università Italiano Naples, the Ukrainian national team improved its previous result, taking sixth place, and also in 2019 won the international tournament "Carpathian space".

The Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Sports of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Kozhemyakin congratulated the student teams at the ceremony and thanked the football players for their time not only to study but also to train well, so that our athletes gain high places in international competitions, worthily representing Ukraine .

The successful performance of Ukrainian students was noted at the state level. By the Decree of the President of Ukraine, Vasyl Ivegesh, head coach of the national football team of Ternopil National Pedagogical University, was awarded the Order of Merit of the III degree for significant personal contribution to the development and popularization of physical culture and sports in Ukraine, achievement of high sports results and long-term fruitful professional activity. Vladimir Hnatiuk. The honorary title of "Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine" was awarded to the head coach of the student team of Ukraine Anatoliy Buznik. Vadym Misyura, Vice President of the All-Ukrainian Football Association of Students, was awarded the "Badge of Honor".
