UEFA coefficient table: Ukraine scored regular points but moved up to 10th place
Dynamo's victory over Malmo in the Europa League allowed Ukraine to earn 2 more points for the UEFA odds table. Now Shakhtar and Zorya have 4 points each, Dynamo has 2,5, and Mariupol has 0,5. So, the score is currently 11 points, or 2,2 points.
However, our competitors, Belgium and the Netherlands, harvested a much larger harvest this week, which allowed the former to substantially break away from the register (3,6 points or 18 points) and the second to bypass it. Our association is already in the 10th position, and the reserve relative to Turkey and Austria behind is not so great ...
It will be recalled that after the reform of the European Cups and the introduction of the third tournament in 2021, both the eighth and ninth associations in the UEFA coefficient table have exactly the same quotas in the European Cups. Namely - the participation of five clubs: two - in the Champions League (one - in the group stage, one - in the third qualifying round), one - in the Europa League (in the playoffs) and two - in the Europa League-2 - in the third qualifying round and one - in the second qualifying round). But the 10th position loses certain privileges (the second winner starts in the Champions League a stage earlier). Not to mention the 11th, which does not allow the association to automatically delegate its club to the group stage of the Champions League.
