Portuguese Benfica legend Luisao presents Benfica Cup-2019 top prizes to children

The first children's international international tournament Benfica Cup was held on the basis of the Football Academy "Benfica" Ukraine with the support of the Ukrainian Football Association.

El-Bahir from Jerusalem competed for trophies together with teams from different regions of Ukraine. After the tournament, the award ceremony was attended by a distinguished delegation from the Portuguese "Benfica": international ambassador of the club, the legendary captain of "Benfica", ex-player of the Brazilian national team Luizao, commercial director of FC "Benfica" Bernardo Carvalho, one of the directors of the World Academia Network Miguel Reisch, FC Benfica's junior scout Thiago Silva.

The Ukrainian Football Association presented the winning teams with 100 balls and set 12 individual prizes for the best football players of various roles, which were presented to the applause of the audience by the first vice-president of UAF Vadym Kostyuchenko.

Our association has developed very good relations with the Portuguese Football Federation, and I am glad that now, participating as partners in the Benfica Cup-2019, we, together with the famous "Benfica" will continue our strategic line of development of children's and youth football in Ukraine . Let me remind you that the development of children's and youth football is one of the priorities for the UAF, "said Vadym Kostyuchenko.

"It was just an incredible feeling! I want to note that the tournament was well organized, all the teams played very interesting football, for the sake of victory gave their all. "I saw that the Benfica Academy in Ukraine, which I opened in April, is actively developing, there are many promising children, and this, of course, will benefit Ukrainian football," said the legendary player Luizao after the Benfica Cup-2019.

And Benfica's chief scout Thiago Silva added that he has already noted for himself three young players he wants to see again during his next visit to Ukraine.

As for the winners of the tournament, the winners in their age groups were: among the teams born in 2007 - CYSS-1 (Chervonohrad), in 2009 - CYSS-15 (Kyiv), in 2010 - "Smyga-Euroshpon" (Rivne region). ).

Many prizes for the tournament participants were prepared by Benfica Cup partners - sports brand Decathlon and IT company Pri-Num. The latter, in addition to the actual prizes, presented wonderful bouquets to two girls who played with the boys in the football teams.

And the vice-president of UAF Vadym Kostyuchenko made a wonderful gift to the Football Academy "Benfica" Ukraine, presenting it to the representatives of the bronze eagle - a symbol of the Portuguese club.

Closing the tournament, the director of the Football Academy "Benfica" Ukraine Maria Kryvopishina assured that the Benfica Cup will become traditional, and invited all teams to take part in it in 2020.
