In Kiev, the results of the project "11x11 champions. Football for Youth and Region Development »

On September 25, events took place at the House of Football project "11x11 champions. Football for the development of youth and regions ", which aims to provide logistical support to amateur football clubs, children's and youth sports facilities and the promotion of amateur football in Ukraine.

As part of the event, a special press conference was held, at which in the presence of organizers, representatives of amateur clubs and young football players were summed up the main results of the project "11x11 champions. Football for the Development of Youth and Regions ”in 11 communities of amateur football clubs - winners of the national selection, and in all other regions of Ukraine, where for the first time in the history of national football was held managers of amateur clubs and leaders of mass football volunteers using the best German experience.

The project started in June 2018 at the STC. V. Bannikov. During December, the national association received 75 applications for implementation, which showed considerable interest from small communities, football clubs and sports facilities. During January-February, all applications were examined, and the competition jury with the participation of the first vice-president of UAF Oleg Protasov, representatives of the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine, GIZ, AAFU, Ministry of Regional Development and UAF announced the winners. They were CYSS "Kolos" (Sokyryany, Chernivtsi region), club "Zirka Lintsi" (Kiblyary, Uzhhorod district, Zakarpattia region), club "Naftovyk-Dolyna" (Dolyna, Ivano-Frankivsk region), club " Tiras "(Yampil, Vinnytsia region), club" Eurospon-Smyga "(Smyga, Rivne region), club" Cherkasy-Academy "(Bilozir'ya, Cherkasy district, Cherkasy region), CYSS (Vesele, Zaporizhia region), Trubizh club (Korzhi, Baryshevskyi district, Kyiv region), Trostyanets club on the basis of the Sports Academy sports club (Trostyanets, Sumy region), CYSS (Kobeliaky, Poltava region) and the club "Sich" (Zabolottsi, Brody district, Lviv region).

"Thus, 11 projects were implemented in small communities, which managed to improve or upgrade the sports infrastructure, increase the potential and efficiency of amateur football clubs, increase participation in sports for children and youth, encourage local authorities and businesses to participate in supporting sports." Oleksandr Kadenko, First Vice-President of the Amateur Football Association of Ukraine, told a press conference. - Clubs have learned to identify and receive investments. In addition to the 121 euros of financial support for clubs from the German government, the project additionally attracted investments from communities, local businesses, as well as the clubs' own resources in the amount of 297 euros.

On behalf of the President of the Ukrainian Football Association, the first Vice President of the UAF Vadym Kostyuchenko greeted the audience and thanked the German government and the German Embassy in Ukraine. "Supporting the development of small communities and amateur football clubs is very important for the development of grassroots football in Ukraine. In addition to significant financial and infrastructural support for the project, we were also able to train managers and volunteers on the basis of leading German experience, "said Vadym Kostyuchenko.

In turn, GIZ Regional Director for Ukraine and Belarus Sabine Müller and Economic Cooperation and Development Officer of the German Embassy in Ukraine Tobias Schrader noted the positive result of this project in our country and that in the future it will give impetus to further development of sports infrastructure and help creating European conditions for sports in the regions.

The first vice-president of UAF Oleg Protasov greeted the young football players with warm words, emphasizing that all projects for the development of grassroots football are aimed at our future generation. "I am very glad that in this project we use the powerful power of football to unite people in different regions of Ukraine, especially active youth. It is very nice that a large number of children are involved in the classes. Football will significantly improve their life prospects, "said Oleg Protasov.

In addition to the reconstruction of sports infrastructure, there was a mobilization and development of the potential of 60 instructors - representatives of amateur football clubs and all regional football federations in the framework of training managers and coaches of amateur clubs. Two seminars were held at the national level using the German experience. Also, with additional funds raised from regional football federations, we managed to hold 78 seminars at the regional level.

The All-Ukrainian Leather Ball Tournament attracted 100 young leaders, 1950 certified club managers and amateur football volunteers to competitions organized by the Amateur Football Association of Ukraine. In total, 2019 children, including girls and migrants, managed to join the events and competitions of this tournament in 7 in all regions of Ukraine.

Summing up the press conference, UAF representatives noted that the project has a future and can be implemented in all regions of the country, as the community and clubs are ready to contribute to the budget for 2020 and 2021 to implement the project.

At the end of the press conference in the afternoon on the artificial fields of the STC. V. Bannikov opened the new season of the Festival of Champions "Open Football Lessons" with the participation of children and volunteers - participants of the project, as well as teams from the village of Rizhki Stavyshche district, Boyarka, Vyshneve, Korzhi, Kalinovka and Vasilkov. In memory of the children received souvenirs from the Ukrainian Football Association and took a joint photo.

Football for the Development of Youth and Regions ”is implemented by the Amateur Football Association of Ukraine in partnership with the Ukrainian Football Association and the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing of Ukraine with financial support from the German government through the federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ GmbH).
