Serhiy Lavrynenko: “After the victory over the Carpathians, the only wish is to play at home in the next round”

Among the matches of the third preliminary stage of the Ukrainian Cup, the most intense was the one that took place in Petrovo - "Ingulets" - "Karpaty".

Only in a series of post-match penalties the hosts proved to be more accurate and, by the way, for the second time in a row Lviv was forced to withdraw from the cup distance ahead of schedule.

- Our two confrontations were similar except for the tension, - said the head coach of "Ingulets" Sergei Lavrinenko in a comment to the official website of the UAF. - After all, there have been significant changes in the composition of both teams, and in the "Carpathians" in addition, the coaching staff has been renewed. It seems that with the appearance of Roman Sanjar at the helm, the Lviv team began to restructure. It is only the formation of the game that the new mentor wants to see in the performance of his wards. In my opinion, Roman Sanjar will be able to create a capable team in the capital of Galicia. But this takes time, and therefore fans of the "Carpathians" should be patient.

As for my wards, in comparison with the last calendar match of the first league championship, with "Nikolaev", there was a serious rotation. I trust all the players in the cage, and I am very pleased that they lived up to expectations. The guys strictly followed the setup, adjusted well and achieved the desired result. Of course, there were some mistakes, but, fortunately, our goalkeeper Roman Lepka was in the shot.

Before the match, I noted that in case of defeat by the Carpathians, we will not make a tragedy out of it. Because this season our priority is to play in the championship, where we are going to get a ticket to the elite division. And to be honest, I don't care at all who will be Ingulets' opponent in the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup. The only wish is for us to play at home again…
