The head coach of the Ukrainian national futsal team Oleksandr Kosenko commented on the team's performance at the international tournament in Ivano-Frankivsk.

It will be recalled that these competitions were held on September 22-24 as part of the preparation of the blue and yellows for the 2020 World Cup qualifiers. In addition to the hosts, the national teams of Romania and Georgia took part in them. Ukrainians lost to Romanians in the first match (2:5), and in the second win Georgians (4:1). As a result, they took second place in the tournament, beating the Romanian team.

The results of the performance of his wards in Ivano-Frankivsk were summed up by the head coach of the national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Kosenko:

"I positively evaluate the result and the game of the national team of Ukraine in this tournament. We had very good games, except for the last two minutes of the match with Romania. Those two minutes we completely failed. And yes - it was a good fight with worthy opponents.

The boys gained valuable experience, and the coaching staff received a lot of useful information, which now needs to be worked on. That is, this tournament turned out to be very useful from all points of view.

For now, the guys will play for their clubs, and we will watch them and draw the appropriate conclusions. Before the World Cup qualifiers, we have a training camp in Brovary, which will begin on October 19. Closer to him, we will decide on the composition of the team for the selection matches. "
