Igor Zhabchenko: “It is very good to play against Dynamo again

Last week, after a three-year break, Ihor Zhabchenko headed Girnyk-Sport again. And the team from Horishni Plavny under his leadership has already managed to celebrate two victories - over "Cherkasy region" in the first league championship and over "Obolon-Brovar" in the Cup of Ukraine, which allowed it for the first time break through to 1/8 finals.

- It's a sin to complain, I inherited a good legacy, - said Igor Zhabchenko in a comment to the official website of the UAF. - The team is staffed with qualified performers, and their latest failures were to be found in the field of psychology. I quickly found a common language with my new wards, especially since among them were Anton Sytnikov, Yevhen Lozovy, and Volodymyr Korolkov, whom I had trained before. After the victory in Cherkasy we went to the capital in a good mood. We decided to play the first number, cherish the ball, remembering that the horse of Kiev is a quick counterattack. I think we played to win, although in fairness it should be said that the "brewers" performed in an experimental lineup. But these are their problems. It's a pity that we had to play for 120 minutes, because we could tip the scales to our side in the main time. But the main thing is that we have written our name in history, because in October the first performance of "Miner-Sport" in the 1/8 finals of the Cup of Ukraine will take place.

Who would I like to see as our next opponent? Dynamo Kyiv! By the way, the cup paths of Girnyk-Sport and Dynamo have already crossed - in 2015 in the 1/16 finals. Then Andriy Yarmolenko was enchanting, scoring a hat-trick and making three assists. And although the white and blues won a landslide victory, their arrival was long remembered by both the Pitmen-Sport footballers and the local fans.
