Agrobusiness from Volochysk wins the 35+ veterans championship in Ukraine

28-29 September in Vyshneve at the stadium "Central" was the final stage of the championship of Ukraine among veterans 35+, dedicated to the memory of the outstanding football player Viktor Serebryanikov. For the second time in a row, its winner was Agribusiness from Volochysk.

The decisive matches were attended by four teams that won the previous stages: "Arcadia-Aval" (Odessa), "Veteran" (Berdyansk), "Agribusiness" (Volochysk) and "Desna" (Chernihiv). According to the regulations, one team had to be no more than six players from 1980 to 1984, the rest of the players had to be born in 1979 and older. The tournament was organized by the Association of Football Veterans of Ukraine with the support of Agribusiness LLC and the Ukrainian Football Association.

At the final stage, the results of matches between the teams in the previous round were taken into account: "Agribusiness" - "Desna" - 1: 1, "Arcadia-Aval" - "Veteran" - 6: 1.

The decisive matches in Vyshneve were interesting and uncompromising, the intrigue in determining the winner lasted until the last match. The highlight of the competition was the participation of famous players who are still in great shape: as part of "Agribusiness" Serhiy Nagornyak, Eduard Tsikhmeistruk, Vitaliy Reva, Volodymyr Yezersky, Bohdan Shershun, Vyacheslav Svidersky, Oleksiy Belik and Andriy Donets , in "Arcadia-Aval" - Alexander Kosirin, Sergey Bilozor, Vadim Deonas, etc.

As a result, "Agribusiness" and "Desna" scored seven points each, so the fate of the championship was decided by additional indicators, namely - the difference in goals. Here the team from Volochysk had a significant advantage, which in the final meeting did not leave opponents a chance.

After the competition, the winners and prize-winners were awarded, in which the legends of national football, AVFU vice-presidents Volodymyr Muntyan and Andriy Biba, and AVFU executive director Vitaliy Kulibabenko took part. The best player of the tournament was Serhiy Datsenko, the Desna striker (Chernihiv).

"The tournament among the youngest veterans is always of the greatest interest," Vitaliy Kulibabenko summed up. - Thanks to the initiative of the president of the Association of Veterans Oleg Sobutsky on the development of competitions, tournaments were first held in groups on a territorial basis, after which the best gathered in Vyshneve. All financial and organizational issues were traditionally taken over by the AVFU, the teams had to find decent staff and show their skills. The tournament was held at a high level, which is worth only the star names in each team. Until the last match, it was unclear who would be the winner and prize-winner, as a result, "Agribusiness" won gold only by the difference of goals. But both in terms of the game and the selection of performers, this team was the best, which was acknowledged by the experts and fans present in the stands. "
