Oleksandr Babych: “We do not mind to make it to the semifinals at least as it was in the 2017/2018 Cup draw”

In the competition for a place in the quarterfinals of the Cup of Ukraine, the draw brought together two teams from Donetsk - "Mariupol" and "Olympic".

- In cup competitions it is dangerous to say whether you are lucky with your opponent or not, - said the head of "Mariupol" Alexander Babych in a comment to the official website of the UAF on the results of the draw. - There are many examples when a less famous team forced one of the favorites to go the distance. Olympic and I are approximately equal in class, and if we have any advantage, it is only that we will play at home. This is important, because at the end of October Mariupol has a rather tight competition schedule.

Although, frankly, we were already set up to play away against Lviv, because the capital of Galicia has been a fort for my wards lately (laughs). But the draw chose another option for us. I will not talk about our cup prospects. However, we do not mind making it to at least the semifinals, as was the case in the 2017/2018 Cup, when we lost to the future owner of the trophy - Shakhtar.
