WU-19: Ukraine's women's national team wins victory in Euro-2020 qualifying tournament

The youth women's national team of Ukraine WU-19 won its last match in the qualifying tournament for Euro 2020 (WU-19), but failed to qualify from the third place to the elite round of selection.

After two defeats in the Euro 2020 qualifiers (WU-19) against the national teams of Ireland0:2) and the Netherlands (1:4) Valery Palamarchuk's team met with the Montenegrin team. 

Our opponents in the 13th minute opened the scoring after a shot by Nadi Djurdjevac. However, within nine minutes Anastasia Nemets regained her balance in the meeting. By the end of the first half, Irina Kotyash also led our team forward.

In the second half of the game, Oksana Bilokur increased the advantage of the Ukrainians, but the opponents reduced the gap to one goal. Ana Knezhevych scored from the penalty spot. In the end - 3: 2, and the national team of Ukraine took third place in group 9.

According to the rules of the tournament, the elite round of the selection of two best teams of 12 groups and the four best, which took third place, based on the games with the first two teams. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian national team was fifth among the third teams, missing Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Romania and Israel.
