Sergiy Bolbat: “We want to score six points in duels with Lithuania and Portugal”

Defender of the national team of Ukraine Serhiy Bolbat told with what mood the players are preparing for the Euro 2020 selection games against Lithuania and Portugal.

- All is well, we prepare in a working mode, - Sergey noted. - We now need to remember the connections we made earlier. Everything is going according to plan, we are preparing for matches with Lithuania and Portugal.

- What is the emphasis in training during this training?

- We pay a lot of attention to tactics, because we have decisive games ahead of us. We are one hundred percent focused. We need three points both in the match with the Lithuanians and in the match against the Portuguese.

- You played with Lithuania in Vilnius. What are your memories of that match?

- Despite the score, the game was difficult. Difficulties arose. The Lithuanians had a couple of moments - at the beginning of the match and then in the end, when Andriy Pyatov came to the rescue. So, we are preparing for the meeting in Kharkiv in all seriousness.

- In Vilnius you played on an artificial field. Now the match will be on a regular lawn. Is this a plus for Ukrainians?

"Of course." We will have many trump cards: our own field, fans ... It's always nice to play at home when you are so wildly supported.

- Did you feel this support in open training?

- Yes, even when we approached the stadium, we noticed how many people go to the stands. That's cool! We will try to live up to our expectations.

It will be recalled that the match between the national teams of Ukraine and Lithuania will take place today, October 11, in Kharkiv at USC Metalist (starting at 21.45 pm).
