In his third match of the European Championship qualifying tournament, Ruslan Rotany's team lost their second defeat.

In Romania, the match with the blue and yellow was regarded as a revenge for the defeat of a year and a half ago. It was at this stadium in Ploiesti last March that the U-19 home team gave way to Ukrainian peers in the Euro-2018 qualifying match and lost her chances of traveling to Finland for the final tournament. Where, as you know, Ukrainians reached the semifinals and won the end of the 2019 World Cup in Poland the triumph of Alexander Petrakov's wards.

In the current Ukrainian "youth" there are many representatives of the "golden" team. As, by the way, the Romanians have enough players who in the national team under the leadership of the same coach, Mirel Redoy, won the bronze medal of the European Championship (U-21) this summer, and with it - a license for the 2020 Olympic Games. in Tokyo.

Today, however, a meeting of principled opponents, who were also considered direct competitors in the fight for one of the first two places in the selection group, was initially held to some advantage by the hosts, who managed to organize several dangerous attacks. Moruzan even went out alone with Bilik at an acute angle, but the Ukrainian goalkeeper won the match. There was also a moment Beluce, whose blow from the boundaries of the penalty area was a bit elusive. The Ukrainians managed to level the game a little closer to the middle of the half, and the second half of the first 45 minutes were already without fire at the visitors' goal. The blue-and-yellows themselves have repeatedly created acuteness, mostly by standards, but have not been able to achieve more. 

The teams were more active in the attack after the break. Bilyk saved the Ukrainian national team from a missed goal several times, and Lednev was close to success in the 50th minute, but hit the post. In the end, the Romanians proved to be more persistent in their attack. In the 75th minute Morutsan successfully put his foot under Bobok's shot. Five minutes later, Petre, who had just come on as a substitute, scored the second goal, and again after a pass from the flank. And in overtime, Peter also made a double.

The Ukrainian national team will hold its next qualifying tournament on November 15 in Lviv against the Danish team.
