UEFA GROW Championships match held in Kalinovka, Kyiv region

Eight teams from Irpen, Krasylivka, Brovary district, Obukhiv and Slavutych, formed of 15-year-old and four-year-younger girls, took part in the starting round of the premier championship of Kyiv region.

Competition passed in Kalinovka on two grass mini-grounds, arranged at the stadium "Askania-Arena", under the leadership of the regional project manager of UEFA GROW in the Kiev region Kirill Khimichenko. 

Slavutych's girls' teams were the most successful, with which coaches Volodymyr Panchenko and Victoria Mekshun work fruitfully: 11-year-old players won all matches with a total score of 23: 0, and in the 15-year-old's confrontation the future winners lost to Irpen girls in the decisive match - 0: after the first half, but, showing remarkable character and strength of will, literally snatched the victory with a score of 3: 4.

The participants of the regional championship were prepared by coaches Hryhoriy Moskalenko and Kateryna Yegorchenko from Krasylivka, Volodymyr Zaev from Obukhiv, as well as Alina Gorobets and Alina Skryplenko from Irpen. They were also awarded thanks by the Ukrainian Football Association. All footballers received certificates from the UEFA GROW project. Also, each of the 68 participants of the regional championship received a set of uniforms and cuffs from the Kyiv Regional Football Federation.

We will remind that earlier the first stage of the debut championship of the Kiev region among girls WU-17 and WU-13 passed in Obukhov.
