Ukrainian football veterans and UAF leaders open the first social and sports schools
The first social and sports schools were opened in Irpen, Kyiv region, and Khmelnytsky region - a joint project of the Real Madrid Foundation and the public organization Epicenter for Children.
In accordance with the memorandum of cooperation between Epicenter K, the title sponsor of the national team of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Football Association, students will be able to attend free matches of national teams of Ukraine, take players to the field before matches and participate in other UAF projects.

In particular, 135 boys and girls aged six to 17 from socially disadvantaged families (at risk of marginal status due to difficult family circumstances, without means of subsistence, orphans, semi-orphans, children from large families) will attend the school in Irpen. This school of the Real Madrid Foundation will operate on the basis of three secondary schools in Irpen - № 2, № 3 and № 17, a school in Khmelnytsky region - on the basis of Khmelnytsky Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy and in secondary schools in the villages of Skarzhyntsi and Ruzhychanka. Their sports infrastructure was restored at the expense of the project's financial partner, Epicenter K. Today it is the only network of social and sports schools in Ukraine of the Real Madrid Foundation.

In addition to training in football and basketball, Real Madrid Foundation students have the opportunity to deepen schooling, learn foreign languages, visit museums, theaters, cinemas, lectures and excursions. Tuition at the school is free. Her pets are provided with food, sports equipment and uniforms.

The social and sports school has a highly qualified team of coordinators, social workers, coaches, teachers, educators, psychologists and volunteers. In particular, all coaches underwent a training course with coaches-methodologists of the club "Real" (Madrid). Students of the school will have the opportunity to attend football matches and the training base of Real Madrid, to hold matches with peers - students of the club "Real" (Madrid).

We have entered into a strategic alliance with the Real Madrid Foundation, within which the children participating in the project will receive additional training and internship opportunities from Real professionals. Cooperation with the foundation leads to the opening of schools in six locations in Kyiv and Khmelnytsky regions and - within a year - the opening of a school in Kyiv. In the near future, we will focus on attracting as many children as possible to the project, "said UAF Vice President Oleksandr Gerega.

The children had the opportunity to play and chat with former Real Madrid players Edwin Congo, Claude Makelele and Jose Emilio Amaviska, Ukrainian football veterans Bohdan Shershun, Vladislav Vashchuk, Oleg Protasov, Anatoliy Demyanenko, Vyacheslav Belanov and Alexander Shovkovsky, as well as six-time Spanish champion Emilio Butragueño. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine Sylvia Josefina Cortes Martin was also present at the opening ceremony.
