Futsal Ukraine national team begins preparation for the World Cup Qualifying Round 2020

Oleksandr Kosenko's wards have started training camp in Brovary today, which will last until October 23.

For the next three days, the blue-and-yellows will prepare for the matches of the main qualifying round of the 2020 World Cup, which will take place in Northern Macedonia on October 24-27. The flight to Skopje is scheduled for the 23rd.

It should be noted that there was one change in the national team of Ukraine - instead of Mykola Bila Tserkva from Prodexim, his partner from the Kherson team Mykhailo Zvarych was called up. Thus, the composition of our team for qualifying matches is as follows:

goalkeepers - Dmytro Lytvynenko, Yevhen Ivanyak, Kyrylo Tsypun; field players - Taras Korolyshyn, Serhiy Malyshko, Volodymyr Razuvanov, Oleksandr Pedyash, Serhiy Zhurba, Mykola Mykytyuk, Artem Farenyuk, Dmytro Sorokin, Ihor Korsun, Petro Shoturma, Mykhailo Zvarych.

The first and second teams of each of the eight groups of the main selection round will make it to the elite round.

At the next stage of selection, 16 national teams will be divided into four quartets on November 7, 2019, the winners of which will go directly to the World Cup. The fights of the elite round will take place on January 28 - February 2, 2020. The teams that take second place in the groups will advance to the playoffs, where two more World Cup tickets will be drawn. Butt matches are scheduled for April 9 and 12, 2020.

Thus, six European selection teams will join Lithuania, which will host the World Forum on September 12 - October 4, 2020.

We would also like to add that AFC (Asia) will be able to send five teams to the 2020 World Cup, CAF (Africa) - three, CONCACAF (North and Central America) - four, CONMEBOL (South America) - four, OFC (Oceania) - one. A total of 24 teams will take part in the world championship.
