The development of football infrastructure in Transcarpathia became a key topic of the UAF president's visit to the region. In particular, during the inspection of the Avangard Stadium in Uzhhorod, which was opened after reconstruction in the spring of this year. Currently, the regional center does not have a representative in the UPL, but this football complex is ready to host matches of national and international level.

In view of this, the leadership of the Transcarpathian Football Federation, in particular, its chairman Ivan Duran and member of the UAF Executive Committee Myroslav Shcherbey proposed to hold matches of the traditional Victor Bannikov tournament at the stadium, and UAF President Andriy Pavelko supported this initiative. "We invite the national teams of Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Poland and other friendly countries to join these prestigious competitions, which, I am sure, will be an extremely bright football holiday for the whole of Transcarpathia," commented Andriy Pavelko on the proposal of the Transcarpathian Football Federation.

The facility has two football fields with natural and artificial surface, playgrounds for volleyball, basketball and handball, as well as an athletics area, comfortable locker rooms, rooms for judges and grandstands for 2 seats. However, on this day they could not accommodate everyone, and many had to stand, because the main point of the holiday program was a match between veterans of FC "Dynamo" (Kyiv) and FC "Khust", and Khust was visited by such legends of Ukrainian football as Ivan Yaremchuk. Oleg Salenko, Yuri Dmytrulin and others.

"Transcarpathian region as one of the European football centers of Ukraine must be represented in the elite division. Whether it will be FC Uzhhorod, FC Minai or another club is not essential. With such a rapid development of infrastructure, it is only a matter of time! ” - the president of UAF was convinced.
