Son of Hero of Ukraine Sashko Tsymbal: "I dream to win all football cups!"

A special guest visited the House of Football. He is only eight years old, but the whole of football Ukraine already knows him. This is Oleksandr Tsymbal, the son of the Hero of Ukraine Serhiy Tsymbal, who died in Debaltseve in October 2014, saving the lives of his comrades-in-arms.

Before the historic match Ukraine - Portugal in the qualification for Euro 2020, Sasha brought Cristiano Ronaldo to the field. The boy shared his impressions of the meeting with the star and dreams of the future with the president of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Pavelko.

... Crossing the threshold of the Football House, Sasha enthusiastically looks at photos on the stands with the main football events with the participation of national teams of Ukraine. In a few minutes he notices the cups and other trophies that Ukrainian footballers have won in different years, and shares his impressions with his mother.

According to Lilia Tsymbal, before the meeting with Ronaldo Sasha had been playing football for a long time and often played with friends. But at the same time he was interested in other sports, in particular, he inherited his father's passion for martial arts and swimming. And now, the boy's mother smiles, football has become the number one occupation. "Even our relatives, who have not been interested in football at all, are now watching the sports news," adds Lilia.

At the meeting with UAF President Andriy Pavelko, Sasha is at first embarrassed, but after a while he boldly answers questions. He talks about how he plays football with his classmates, smiles when he sees himself on the screen and in the photo next to Cristiano Ronaldo again, and shares his vivid impressions of the unforgettable match in which the Ukrainian national team won a ticket to Euro 2020. Then Sasha was unlucky to get an autograph from Ronaldo. But in the House of Football he was waiting for a pleasant surprise - a ball from this historic match with the signature of a football star, which was handed to him by Andriy Pavelko.

In general, after this meeting, Sasha Tsymbal will be able to set up a small football museum at home. After all, in addition to a valuable ball, his collection now also includes a Andriy Shevchenko T-shirt from the time of his playing career, Andriy Yarmolenko's T-shirt (both with autographs) and the personal name of the national team. It was noticeable that these gifts caused a storm of admiration in the baby, and he happily promised not to take off his T-shirt and even sleep in it at home. And when he saw the U-20 World Cup, he could no longer restrain himself and exclaimed that he dreamed of winning all the football cups. In response, Andriy Pavelko invited Oleksandr to study at the UAF Football Academy.
