The Futsal Ukraine national team started selection for the 2020 World Cup with a sure win

In the first match of the main qualifying round for the World Cup, Oleksandr Kosenko's wards defeated the Kosovo team.

Today in the capital of Northern Macedonia, Skopje, the blue and yellows started their performance in Group 2 of the European selection zone. In the first match, they were opposed by the team of Kosovo, which managed to impose a struggle on our team - however, only in the first half.

The Balkans opened the scoring in the 12th minute, but Fahrenyuk immediately regained his balance. And shortly before the break Soturma after the corner already led our team forward.

In the second half, the Ukrainians scored five "dry" goals. Sorokin scored three of them, we will also note Zvarych's goal by Oleksandr Kosenko called to the national team instead of Bila Tserkva.

The next match of the main qualifying round, with Slovenia, awaits the blue-yellows tomorrow.

The first and second teams of each of the eight groups of the main round of selection will make it to the elite round.

At the next stage, the 16 national teams will be divided into four quartets on November 7 this year, the winners of which will go directly to the World Cup. The fights of the elite round will take place on January 28 - February 2, 2020. The teams that take second place in the groups will advance to the playoffs, where two more World Cup tickets will be drawn. Butt matches are scheduled for April 9 and 12, 2020.

Thus, six European selection teams will join Lithuania, which will host the World Forum on September 12 - October 4, 2020.

We will also add that AFC (Asia) will be able to send five teams to the 2020 World Cup, CAF (Africa) - three, CONCACAF (North and Central America) - four, CONMEBOL (South America) - four, OFC (Oceania) - one. A total of 24 teams will take part in the world championship.
