Results of the six-year work on the preparation of the Ukrainian Football Association for the implementation of an innovative program on the recommendations of UEFA

The promotion and development of football across Europe plays a key role for UEFA and its 55 national associations. This should be facilitated by the UEFA GROW program launched by 2015 with the aim of systematic and strategic development of European football.

Inspired by the successful experience of implementing this program by European associations, during April-July  2019 The Ukrainian Football Association, together with UEFA, developed its own roadmap for implementing an IT strategy - the digitalisation of Ukrainian football as part of the UEFA GROW program.

On October 24, a working meeting of the heads of the Ukrainian Football Association and its divisions with representatives of UEFA Business Relations Manager and Ben Presens (advisor to the analyst of the international consulting company PMY Group) was held in the Capital House of Football. to the implementation of the innovative program.

The meeting discussed the final steps in the implementation of the IT strategy, namely it was agreed to hold meetings with representatives of companies developing a unique football management system in Kyiv on November 4-7, among which the most effective one will be selected. the UEFA GROW program will be implemented.

The uniqueness of these systems is due to the large number of requirements for its performance and reliability, the complex specifics of data creation, processing and output. This software has a wide range of functionalities for effective management of football administration processes and its promotion and development.

It is gratifying to note that among the internationally recognized software products of international football management companies participating in the tender procedure, there will also be a Ukrainian product, which is highly praised and recognized by UEFA and PMY representatives as competitive and meeting the highest requirements of the management systems. football.

In particular, during the meeting of the UAF Executive Committee, which took place in Kyiv on October 14, the President of the UAF, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko, also spoke about this. "After analyzing the IT infrastructure of our association, UEFA, together with the involved consulting companies, has developed specific recommendations on what we need to do to make a significant breakthrough on the path to full digitalization of Ukrainian football. One of these steps is to install the appropriate software in the UAF. Presentations of development companies will take place in the Football House soon. And according to the plan drawn up for us by UEFA, by December 6, with the help of recommendations of international experts, we must finally decide on our choice, "Andriy Pavelko told members of the UAF Executive Committee.
