Yuriy Yaroshenko: “The Alliance Cup Challenge Has Been Overdone”

Footballers of the "Alliance" from Lypova Dolina in Sumy region are the only representatives of the second league who are still fighting for the Cup of Ukraine.

And if at the starting stages of the tournament Yuri Yaroshenko's wards were also rivals of the second league, then in the further struggle they had to find out the relations with "Balkans" and "Miner-Sport", which play in the first division.

- To this historical, without exaggeration, confrontation with "Miner-Sport", where the winner of the pass was determined for the quarterfinals, we approached with personnel losses, - said the head coach of the "Alliance" Yuri Yaroshenko, commenting on the official website of the UAF the course of events in the last match. - However, it only united the guys who not only celebrated Victoria, but also did it spectacularly. And this despite the fact that "Girnyk-Sport" is headed by a qualified manager, and the backbone of the team is made up of experienced performers.

By the way, before the start of the season, the club management set us the task to make it to the cup tournament until the 1/8 finals. As you can see, we have already taken this height and are moving forward. Of course, the Alliance's players benefited from the fact that they played all their matches in Sumy, where they were provided with strong fan support. And, I am convinced, the fans deserved to have Dynamo Kyiv or some other Premier League club come to them for a cup match next spring. This match would be a great event for the residents of the whole region! However, I will not guess, perhaps the draw will choose us as rivals less eminent counterpart. Then our chances to go further will increase significantly.
