Of course, among the pairs of the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup, the most interesting was the confrontation in Kyiv, where Dynamo hosted Shakhtar.

But the second place in this ranking was taken by the duel in which the neighbors met according to the standings of the Premier League - "Alexandria" and "Zorya". And the rivals were pleased with the good preparation, and after overtime they also arranged a football lottery - a series of penalties.

- We clarified the relations of the team, which are prominent in the class of the strongest, - said the head coach of "Zorya" Viktor Skrypnyk. - Both I and my colleague from "Alexandria" Volodymyr Sharan took the opportunity to rotate the team, in particular, we had five substitutions in comparison with the previous calendar match. The guys who did not have enough playing practice had the opportunity to show themselves. I was satisfied with their actions, although we must not forget that they had to play with a team that forced them to reckon with themselves in the group stage of the Europa League.

Unfortunately, in the series of post-match penalties we did not get a ticket to the next round. Of course, it is a pity that they did not go further, especially since a lot of effort was made. But nothing terrible happened, it gets worse… The main thing is that there were no injuries, because the championship is in full swing.
