FC Shakhtar's social project is recognized as the best in Europe
The 13th European Football for Development Network (EFDN) conference took place in Barcelona. The competition More than Football Award 2019 identified the best social project in Europe.
A total of 40 clubs took part in the competition. The best was the project of the representative of Ukraine, FC Shakhtar (Donetsk), called "Come on, play!".
The project is being implemented by the club with the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children. This year, it attracted about 4500 children between the ages of seven and 12 who play football for free with coaches at 66 sites in 33 cities in Ukraine.
