The national team of Ukraine is waiting for the draw of the Euro-2020 final: the composition of baskets

The draw of the Euro-2020 final tournament with the participation of the national team of Ukraine will take place on November 30 in Bucharest (the start of the ceremony is at 19.00 Kyiv time).

Currently, 20 participants of the final tournament are known, four more will be determined in March next year, after the playoff matches of the League of Nations.

Before the draw of the Euro-2020 final team will be divided into four baskets depending on the rating based on the results of qualifying competitions. Basket 1 will include the best six winners of the selected groups, basket 2 - four other winners and the two best teams that took second place, basket 3 - the owners of six other second places, basket 4 - two other teams, as well as four winners playoffs.

The ranking among the winners and second teams of the groups is determined by the following criteria: points, difference between goals scored and goals scored, number of goals scored, number of goals scored, number of wins, number of away games, fair play rating, rating League of Nations. The results of matches with six teams of teams are not taken into account.

Pot 1: Belgium, Italy, England, Germany, Spain, Ukraine.

Pot 2: France, Poland, Switzerland, Croatia, the Netherlands, Russia.

Pot 3: Portugal, Turkey, Denmark, Austria, Sweden, Czech Republic.

Pot 4: Wales, Finland, four winners of the Nations League playoffs.

16 national teams will play in the playoffs of the League of Nations.

League A. Iceland - Romania, Bulgaria - Hungary.

League V. Bosnia and Herzegovina - Northern Ireland, Slovakia - Ireland.

League S. Scotland - Israel, Norway - Serbia.

League D. Georgia - Belarus, Northern Macedonia - Kosovo. 

The matches (semi-finals and finals) will take place in March 2020. 

We would also like to remind you that the venues for the matches of each Euro-2020 group have already been approved.

Group A. Rome (Italy), Baku (Azerbaijan).

Group B. St. Petersburg (Russia), Copenhagen (Denmark).

Group C. Amsterdam (Netherlands), Bucharest (Romania).

Group D. London (England), Glasgow (Scotland).

Group E. Bilbao (Spain), Dublin (Ireland).

Group F. Munich (Germany), Budapest (Hungary).

Given the fact that the representatives of the first basket, the national teams of Italy, England, Spain and Germany, will play in groups tied to their locations as hosts, as well as given the clause in the regulations on breeding Ukraine and Russia, our team should get into the group C. There, in addition to the Netherlands, may be the winner of the playoffs of League D or League A (if it is Romania).

The draw will be in the order from basket 1 to basket 4.

The final tournament of the European Championship will be held from June 12 to July 12, 2020.
