Euro 2020. Ceremony of drawing of final tournament with participation of national team of Ukraine will take place today in Bucharest

The draw for the Euro-2020 final will begin today at 19.00 pm Kyiv time in Bucharest.

It will be recalled that currently 20 participants of the forum are known, including the national team of Ukraine. Four more will be determined in March next year, after the playoffs of the League of Nations.

Before by the draw team will be divided into four baskets depending on the rating based on the results of qualifying competitions. Basket 1 includes the best six winners of the selected groups, basket 2 - four other winners and the two best teams that took second place, basket 3 - the owners of six other second places, basket 4 - two other teams, as well as four winners playoffs.

The ranking among the winners and second teams of the groups was determined by the following criteria: points, difference in goals scored and goals scored, number of goals scored, number of goals scored, number of wins, number of wins in away game, Fair Play rating League of Nations. The results of the matches with the six teams of the groups were not taken into account.

Pot 1: Belgium, Italy, England, Germany, Spain, Ukraine.

Pot 2: France, Poland, Switzerland, Croatia, the Netherlands, Russia.

Pot 3: Portugal, Turkey, Denmark, Austria, Sweden, Czech Republic.

Pot 4: Wales, Finland, four winners of the Nations League playoffs.

16 national teams will play in the playoffs of the League of Nations.

Path A. Iceland - Romania, Bulgaria - Hungary.

Path B. Bosnia and Herzegovina - Northern Ireland, Slovakia - Ireland.

Path C. Scotland - Israel, Norway - Serbia.

Path D. Georgia - Belarus, Northern Macedonia - Kosovo. 

The matches (semi-finals and finals) will take place in March 2020. 

We would also like to remind you that the venues for the matches of each Euro-2020 group have already been approved.

Group A. Rome (Italy), Baku (Azerbaijan).

Group B. St. Petersburg (Russia), Copenhagen (Denmark).

Group C. Amsterdam (Netherlands), Bucharest (Romania).

Group D. London (England), Glasgow (Scotland).

Group E. Bilbao (Spain), Dublin (Ireland).

Group F. Munich (Germany), Budapest (Hungary).

Given the fact that the representatives of the first basket, the national teams of Italy, England, Spain and Germany, will play in groups tied to their locations as hosts, as well as due to the clause in the regulations on breeding Ukraine and Russia, our team will be in Group C. .

There, in addition to the representative of the second basket, the Netherlands, can be the winner of the playoffs of League A (only if it is Romania) or (if Romania does not win a ticket) the winner of the playoffs of League D (Georgia - Belarus / Northern Macedonia - Kosovo). From the third basket our team can get any opponent, except Denmark, which got into Group B as the host.

In addition, it is known that the winner of the playoffs of League B will be in Group E, and League C - in Group D. Accordingly, Wales and Finland may be in groups A and B. 

The draw will be in the order from basket 1 to basket 4. Each participant will be assigned a group number in order to form a calendar. 

Matches with the participation of the national team of Ukraine in Group C will take place on June 14, 18 and 22, 2020. The final tournament of the European Championship will take place from June 12 to July 12.
