December 1 at NTC them. Viktor Bannikov passed a football tournament among athletes with disabilities. 

Today on the field of NTK them. Victor Bannikov Kyiv city center "Invasport" and CYSS "Prometheus" with the support of the Ukrainian Football Association held a football tournament dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Three teams took part in the competition - the team "Prometheus-CMC", formed of athletes with musculoskeletal disorders (CP), the team of athletes with hearing impairments and the team of AFIU graduates of the school "Dynamo" and athletes with amputation. According to the format of the tournament, the games were held on a circular basis. Each team played two matches, consisting of one half lasting 30 minutes.

Before the match, Oleksandr Pokusay, Chief Specialist of Invasport CMC for Athletes with Hearing Impairments and Musculoskeletal Disorders, said: “We are grateful to the Ukrainian Football Association for assistance in organizing this tournament, for the field and the high level of competition. The guys are very happy. The main thing here is not who will be the winner. The most important thing is that athletes with different problems can meet on the field and see each other, make sure that they are together in football. This is an element of resocialization, adaptation of boys to a full life in our society. "

In the first match, the team "Prometheus-CMC" defeated the team AFIU with a score of 1: 0. In the second team with hearing impairments defeated AFIU - 5: 2, and in the third she lost to "Prometheus-CMC" - 2: 1. Thus, the winner of the competition was the team of athletes with hearing impairments, and its player Makar Bukin was recognized as the best defender of the tournament.

After the competition, a solemn ceremony of awarding participants took place. It was attended by the first vice-president of the UAF Vadym Kostyuchenko and the vice-president of the Football Association of the Disabled of Ukraine Borys Voskresensky. They presented the boys with balls and memorable gifts from the Ukrainian Football Association.

Summing up the results of the tournament, Vadym Kostyuchenko said: “We are very grateful to the guys that they chose football. Thanks to football, they returned to a full sports life. Today we saw a fierce struggle on the field, the athletes were fully trained in the confrontations with each other. Besides, I know how they work in training, many people could learn here. I would like to congratulate everyone on a wonderful tournament on the first day of winter. We will definitely meet in the spring, at the already expanded all-Ukrainian tournament. I want to thank the guys that they are very active fans who support both the national and youth national teams of Ukraine at the stadiums. "

Also during the awards ceremony of participants of the tournament dedicated to the International Day of People with Disabilities, the honors of the Ukrainian Football Association were awarded to Dmitry Ukrainian, Dmitry Saburov and Alexander Pokusay. Vitaly Kulibabenko and Boris Voskresensky received medals for their services. Thus, the Ukrainian Football Association noted their great contribution to the development of sports for people with disabilities.
