U-17: Ukraine's youth team wins the 2021 European Championship qualifiers

Youth team of Ukraine (now U-16, players born in 2004) learned the names of their rivals in the qualifying round of the European Championship-2021 (U-17).

The draw took place today at UEFA headquarters in Nyon. For her, 52 participants were divided into four baskets according to their rating. Ukraine was in basket B. As a result, the teams were divided into 13 groups of four each. By the will of the draw, Serhiy Nagornyak's wards got into group 4 together with the teams of Belgium, Georgia and Lithuania.

The national team of Cyprus as the host of the Euro automatically reached the final. The national teams of the Netherlands and Spain as the highest in the ranking received direct tickets to the elite round of selection, which will take place in the spring of 2021.

Following the results of the qualifying round, the two best teams from each group and the four best teams from among the third places (they will be determined by the results of matches with the first two teams) will advance to the elite round.

After the elite round, the top 15 national teams will join Cyprus in the Euro 2021 finals in May XNUMX.
